The creation of the Community Healthcare System in 2001 has expanded the hospitals’ market share in Northwest Indiana and positioned them as the leading health care provider in Northwest Indiana. Through a continuing partnership with our medical staff and employees, Community Healthcare System will continue to be the preferred healthcare provider in Northwest Indiana and Southern Chicago region. Since joining the Community Healthcare System, St. Catherine has invested in remodeling, infrastructure improvements and expanded its scope of services. Today, the hospital is planning a multi-million dollar expansion to build a physicians’ office building and outpatient services on the hospital’s main campus in East Chicago.
